A couple of weeks ago I ordered the BMW R1200GS Adventure Touring Instructional DVD from Amazon UK. This is a product from GlobeRiders, the company founded by Helge Pedersen – a photojournalist, traveler, an icon and probably the world’s best known BMW motorcycle adventurer. It is a great product that I strongly recommend to all GS/GSA riders.
In this DVD Helge shares his extensive experience and explains how to prepare, pack and service your bike for adventure touring. What I really like is that he is not representing BMW, so he clearly states what he doesn’t like about the bike (a very few things), and he eagerly shares his experience with 3rd party accessories, e.g. from Touratech.
With my own bike currently parked for the winter, and with freezing temperatures and icy roads, I can’t think of a better way to start planning my adventures for next year.
